Carphone Warehouse contract hassles (again!)

Have you ever tried to cancel a phone contract with the Carphone Warehouse? We have and let me tell you it’s not easy. They offer you a “Free year” that ends up being very costly indeed! I have a feeling that this may be an onging fight and I will post more as @lollylu and myself get more information, and once I have cooled down from the phone call to their customer “service” centre. I will tell you this right now however – If you have any choice at all do NOT go anywhere near a contract of any sort from the Carphone Warehouse or you will regret it…

    Hey there,
    I absolutely agree about CarphoneW. I had a contract which expired and was still paying for my contract several months later(wasn’t using the phone). Ok my fault i didn’t phone to cancel it. But when i did contact them they tried very hard to renew my contract. I of course was not interested. They said they would email me a cancellation code which of course they never did! I waited and waited still nothing. I finally got around to calling them again and then received a cancellation code. I am now trying to get a refund for the money i had paid after my initial phone call. They are still refusing to hand my money over!! Arghh!!!!
